Ah, ink the old posted pencils if I don't want to redraw them? Yes, I'm ready in many ways to move forward and develop all the ideas I have presented here in my gallery. As well as move on to try new ideas, either as fan stories or developing my own characters and stories.
And one element, but not the only item, in my decision making process, is the number of views my artwork receives. My popularity is growing, not enough yet to be making anything more than pocket change. But that's something I can keep working on. But despite the lack of funds, I can afford to spend some time keeping an Access database somewhat up to date with the total views. A good enough job I pretty much can say what's hot and what's not.
So when I ink and probably color any of the old pencils in my gallery. I think I can pretty much say it's what people wanted see. But going forward with new stuff, I can use my database to figure out what genre and characters people want to see. And though it seems I have an audience for almost anything I do. There is popularity for humor, monsters, transformations and fantastic things occurring, that people would like to see.
I think I might be able to do the kind of stories lots of people are looking for. Maybe even combine it with other genre to satisfy the people who might not have the same interest as the majority. And all this attempt to satisfy an existing audience and to grow more audience, by me. Will be manifested, not so much by pencil artwork, but by attempts to be more professional. I'm going to be moving towards designing artwork to fit formats. Not just produce artwork, but I'm going to create art with the thought of selling it. I'm going to work on not just creating art but also how I think about the way I layout my artwork. To think about my artwork appearing as graphic novels, poster and such.
I'm working with tools that will let me put together a professional production. I just don't know if the quality of art will match the level of production. Big deal if I can format art to fit on products, if the art does not look good. But I keep working at it.
